  • All Request Heartache

    Love, laughter, and maybe a gasp or two—All Request Heartache is an unforgettable improv experience making a special stop at Montreal Improv.

    The show is fueled by your song requests: each tune becomes the spark for another stage of an improvised relationship, unfolding right before your eyes. Whether it’s junior high slow dancing to "Truly Madly Deeply" or breakup anthems like "abcdefu" the songs you share set the tone for the drama, the comedy, and everything in between.

    Since its debut in 2017, All Request Heartache has been featured at the Big City Improv Festival in Toronto, Reactor Festival, the Calgary Fringe, the Great Canadian Outdoor Comedy Festival, and for eight seasons at the Kinkonauts in Calgary. Now, Montreal audiences have the chance to experience this unique, emotionally-charged, and deeply human show.

    Dive into dramatic, emotionally-resonant scenework with Calgary-based guest instructors Nicole and Sara. Learn the skills they showcase in, All Request Heartache, where they create love stories—and break each other’s hearts—each show. Their style is both rigorous and ridiculously fun—expect actionable feedback, warm encouragement, and tools that last. You’ll be tapping into emotional truth, creating safety with your partner, and developing nuanced character relationships. Sign up as an individual performer, duo, or part of a team.

    Workshop will be in English.

  • Sunday Night Improv Workshop

    Our workshop is a lively, engaging experience that leads directly into our show. Every Sunday, you can join us to practice scenes and learn about story-based improv, guided by a variety of great teachers. Sunday 4-6, always free.

  • Sunday Night Improv

    Our show is a natural extension of the workshop. A regular rotation of some of Montreal’s most talented improvisers always perform, including Sandi Armstrong, Alain Mercieca, Heidi Lynne Weeks, Maité Sinave, Mariana Vial, Adalia Pemberton, Solly Krygier-Paine, Kristina Guevarra, Mason Persaud, Shanthony Exum, Nicky Fournier and Jeremy Lewis . On top of having seasoned improvisers, we also have the new birds that walk in for the first time and steal the show. You could just literally show up and get thrown in the fire of a live show with no script! It has led to many amazing walk-in, home run hitters and creates an awesome “anything can happen” spirit, which is the backbone to improv.

    Always entertaining, Sunday Night Improv promises a good time for audiences who are welcome to contribute to the show through their suggestions and voting.
