• Sunday Night Improv Workshop

Our workshop is a lively, engaging experience that leads directly into our show. Every Sunday, you can join us to practice scenes and learn about story-based improv, guided by a variety of great teachers. Sunday 4-6, always free.

  • Sunday Night Improv

Our show is a natural extension of the workshop. A regular rotation of some of Montreal’s most talented improvisers always perform, including Sandi Armstrong, Alain Mercieca, Heidi Lynne Weeks, Maité Sinave, Mariana Vial, Adalia Pemberton, Solly Krygier-Paine, Kristina Guevarra, Mason Persaud, Shanthony Exum, Nicky Fournier and Jeremy Lewis . On top of having seasoned improvisers, we also have the new birds that walk in for the first time and steal the show. You could just literally show up and get thrown in the fire of a live show with no script! It has led to many amazing walk-in, home run hitters and creates an awesome “anything can happen” spirit, which is the backbone to improv.

Always entertaining, Sunday Night Improv promises a good time for audiences who are welcome to contribute to the show through their suggestions and voting.

  • Rewrite Jam

Get ready to unleash your creativity at the Rewrite Jam, where the stage is yours to rewrite the rules of TV and film—on the spot! In this one-of-a-kind improv experience, you'll jump into the action as directors, writers, and actors team up to create brand-new movies and TV shows!

The jam kicks off with a set of directors/writers pitching their wildest ideas (based on the audience’s suggestion), and the actors bring them to life. But here’s the twist—at any moment, the directors can ring a bell and flip the script, taking the scene in an entirely new direction. And when the scene wraps, the actors don’t just take a bow—they become the writers, ready to dream up the next blockbuster hit.

This concept was originally created by Kim Alu at NYC’s People’s Improv Theater (PIT) who generously granted permission to bring it to Montreal. Now, it’s your turn to step into the spotlight and see where your imagination can take you!

  • The Dollhouse Project

Imagine a theatre piece in which the principal performers know less than anyone else – this is The Dollhouse Project. Without any advance knowledge, the performers will find themselves costumed moments before the show and then thrust onto a set they've never set eyes upon. Unaware of the period, plot, genre, or even their own characters until they set foot onstage, the performers enter into a reciprocal act of creation: they will create a dramatic world and be created by it in turn. The Dollhouse Project is part improvisation, part planned narrative, and all a delirious experiment in spontaneous drama.
