Featuring some of the Montreal improv scene's most celebrated acts as well as fresh new experiments, Oddities is all about blending spontaneous bursts of comedy with refined technique.

  • Troubadour – Live Music and Improv Comedy!

    A musical guest will begin the evening by performing a selection of original songs. A group of Montreal’s best improvisers will then use the musician’s lyrics and banter as inspiration for their scenes.

    This month's Trobairitz is Wyn Wolf!

    Wyn Wolf is a Montreal-based indie-pop singer/songwriter. Obsessed with lyrics and storytelling, her music creates worlds that feel both intimate and cinematic.

  • Take it Away

    Get ready for a comedy showdown where quick wit meets total chaos! Take It Away is an improv competition inspired by Dropout’s Make Some Noise and Whose Line Is It Anyway?, where three contestants step up to take on a series of unpredictable, laugh-out-loud challenges.
    With no scripts and no time to prepare, players will be handed randomized prompts and must create hilarious characters, absurd scenes, and over-the-top performances on the fly. Anything can happen!
    At the end of the night, one contestant will walk away with a shiny trophy, but the real prize? Making the audience lose their minds with laughter. So sit back, strap in, and get ready to watch our performers take the stage and Take It Away!

  • Sunday Night Improv

    Our show is a natural extension of the workshop. A regular rotation of some of Montreal’s most talented improvisers always perform, including Sandi Armstrong, Alain Mercieca, Heidi Lynne Weeks, Maité Sinave, Mariana Vial, Adalia Pemberton, Solly Krygier-Paine, Kristina Guevarra, Mason Persaud, Shanthony Exum, Nicky Fournier and Jeremy Lewis . On top of having seasoned improvisers, we also have the new birds that walk in for the first time and steal the show. You could just literally show up and get thrown in the fire of a live show with no script! It has led to many amazing walk-in, home run hitters and creates an awesome “anything can happen” spirit, which is the backbone to improv.

    Always entertaining, Sunday Night Improv promises a good time for audiences who are welcome to contribute to the show through their suggestions and voting.

    THURSDAYS / 6:30PM / 90 MINS + FREE ENTRY TO THE EVERY THURSDAY IMPROV SHOW

    Swing by for an hour and a half drop-in improv workshop for adults! These exciting drop-in classes are open to improvisers of all levels, whether you're just starting out or you want to hone your skills. Practice makes perfect and this weekly workshop will get your head back in the game, introduce new concepts and give you the workout you need to keep moving forward in improv!

    ALL LEVELS WELCOME / BEGINNERS TO EXPERIENCED / AGE 18+
    Workshops will be taught by experienced improvisers/teachers, and will be held in Studio B. These drop-ins are instructed in English and tend to fill up fast. Registration is highly recommended to reserve your spot, and it's best to do so on Monday or Tuesday.

    The improv match is a format created by Robert Gravel and Yvon Leduc in 1977 and is the main format played in Quebec, performed in schools, bars, huge stages and even on TV! Come watch as two teams of hilarious improvisers face off in a series of fun unpredictable challenges, from quick-fire scenes and great stories to absurd games and witty wordplay, the audience votes to crown the winning team in each scene!
